SEARCHING...for the right strategy.

By now you've likely heard a lot about search marketing. Maybe you're testing the waters, or maybe it's already a key component of your recruitment strategy. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, these thoughts apply.

Why search? Let's see:

1) Opportunity to target the active and passive job seekers
2) Flexible--optimize and shift dollars to maximize return
3) Broad reach
4) Pay only for respondents--you control the budget
5) Demonstrated results--yes, it works!

When many of us think of search, we think keywords and pay-per-click advertising (PPC). PPC is certainly a primary type of search marketing, but there are many strategies we can employ to improve our conversions, and overall get more from our search budgets...and let's not forget Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the organic side of search.

Over the next few weeks I'm going to feature a few of these best practices--what they are and why they matter--and how you can take advantage of similar strategies.

Stay tuned...
