Steven brings more than 15 years of educational marketing, brand articulation, website development, and software development experience to TMP Worldwide. As the founder and former President of Apply Technology, Steven was the impetus behind the explosion of electronic and online applications for colleges and graduate schools through his breakout product, Apply!. Used by more than 750 colleges and universities, Apply! has been the market leader in application technology from its inception. In 1996, Steven sold Apply Technology to The Princeton Review. Steven continued to manage Apply! for The Princeton Review until 1998, when he left to head U.S. News & World Report’s Education Group. While at U.S. News & World Report, Steven was responsible for the marketing and development of the U.S. News College Rankings as well as other related products and services, including the Getting into College kit and the U.S. News .edu website. Steven is also the founder and former President of the online college advising service from PureAdvice. Since joining TMP Worldwide in 2001, he has been involved in Brand Articulation, Interactive Development, and Strategic Workforce Planning for many of the agency’s clients. Additionally, Steven has extensive experience with applicant tracking systems and was responsible for the launch of the agency’s ATS Network Partner program. Steven oversees strategic initiatives for a number of clients including recruitment strategies, communications plans, and integrated online and offline branding and marketing opportunities. Steven is a member of The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Steven has authored white papers for recruitment-related organizations, most recently the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) for the Future Directions Task Force. Steven speaks frequently at events around the country. Recent engagements include the Conference Board’s Annual Diversity Conference, Smith Barney’s How to Transition Your Senior-Level Career to the Next Level event, and the Campus Recruiting Forum. Steven frequently hosts webinars in conjunction with professional organizations including the Conference Board and HR.com where he delivered “New Strategies Using Emerging Technologies – Pushing the (Dis-) Comfort Zone.” Steven’s involvement with professional organizations includes the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), all of the regional ACAC’s, The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), The National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP), and other local admissions related groups, as well as America’s Promise and CSFA/Dollars for Scholars. Steven majored in Sociology at Columbia University. |
